What is ForkCan?


ForkCan is all about sharing code in a social way and to be a respository of code.

It's a place for developers to share code they want to reuse in other project, or want others to reuse. It's also a place where developers can share code and let other developers be involved by giving feedback on the code, make discussions about the code. If a developer think he can do a better version of the code, he can make a Fork of it.


How are code credits measured?


Shared codes credits are measured by the following list:

+1  If someone likes your code by pressing the

+1  By posting a positive feedback about a code

+2  If someone has marked the code as used




How can you get reputation scores?


There are several ways of getting reputation scores, the following is a list of scores and how to get them:

+1  If someone likes your code by pressing the at the top of the code

+2  By posting a feedback to a code

+10  When a user posts a discussion/comment to a code

+50  If someone marks your code as used

+100  By sharing a code

+100  By making a Fork of a code




What are titles all about?


Titles is earned by sharing code, post feedbacks, reputation scores etc. There is a list of titles and how to earn them on the Titles page.


What does all the icons in the list of codes and when viewing a code means?


The number of people who likes the code + number of positive feedback

The number of times the code has been viewed

The number of times the code has been used by users

The number of positive feedback the code has got

The number of neutral feedback the code has got

The number of negativ feedback the code has got

The number of discussions/comments the code has got




How to hide code that I'm not interested in?


One way to hide code is by using the 'ignore' feature on the Tags page. When a tag is ignored, any code with that tag will not be displayed.
